Another three day trip away with the club this time fossicking for Miocene marine fossils in the Central North Island of New Zealand. I was a bit tardy in booking accommodation so had to break out the tent , nothing like getting back to basics. A nice selection of fossils including Turritella and other bivalves and a very nice piece of bone that had me excited for awhile thinking it was a vertebrae.
