Diagnosing a PCM Ground Fault – 2013 Mazda6 | Code P0138 Fix
In this video, we dive into a diagnostic case on a 2013 Mazda6 that came in with a P0138 – O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage trouble code. After performing voltage checks up to the rear O2 sensor, we identified an excessive voltage drop on the PCM-controlled ground circuit—a clear indicator of an internal PCM issue.
To verify the fault, we used a test light, which not only confirmed the problem but also made it easier to demonstrate the process hands-free on camera.
✅ Confirmed Diagnosis: Faulty PCM ground circuit
🛠️ Solution: PCM replacement required to restore proper O2 sensor function
🔧 Tools Used: Multimeter, test light, scan tool
If you're dealing with oxygen sensor codes or strange voltage readings, this might help shed some light on your own diagnostics!
