The Hundred Million Amitabha Mantra Retreat in honor of Mayumla, mother of the Gyalwang Drukpa, has now concluded with a final count of over 200 million mantras. Thousands of participants from all over the world came together to contribute to this heartfelt event, including Kyabje Sangsang Rinpoche, Kyabje Peling Lhalung Sungtrul Rinpoche and members of the Bhutan Royal Family.
During this last afternoon of the retreat at Druk Amitabha Mountain, the Gyalwang Drukpa led a Longevity Initiation and Grand Puja, which included a teaching on the merits needed to achieve long life, such as refraining from eating meat and killing. The puja concluded with Ganachakra offerings, Monlam prayers, and dedications.
This retreat at Druk Amitabha Mountain has been a great expression of love for Mayumla and all the beings.
