Tbh my weekend trip was only supposed to be a day outing for Marina City - Porto Europa, but because I was already in the area I decided to stay + explore lol. The guesthouse where I stayed was in a perfect location because so many things are within walking distance:
-Shirarahama Beach (3min)
[North]
-Mifune Ashiya Foot Bath (10min)
-Engetsu Island (25 min)
[South]
-Senjojiki Rock Plateau (30min)
-Sandanbeki Cave (35min)
If the beach isn’t your thing, maybe Adventure World (An amusement park/zoo/aquarium) is! But that’s not all…If you want to do a more spiritual exploration, you can head over to the sacred grounds Kumano-Nachi Taisha + Seigantoji Temple to appreciate its 3-Story Pagoda + Nachi Falls!
*When I do return to Wakayama, I want to try hiking the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage!
