Another cool encaustic painting technique this time using Pan Pastels - buttery pastels that can be smoothed into the wax and fused. You can apply to achieve intense vivid colors or ultra sheer, glazing layers. I used the Pan Pastel metallic bronze to infuse this peacock feather with an iridescence; the painting changes color as it's viewed from different angles. This is a time lapse video with captions explaining my process. Enjoy!
