The market town of Tetbury is located in Gloucestershire in the Cotswolds on the site of an ancient hill fort. The town was important during the Middle Ages for its wool and yarn. Today we have the famous Woolsack Races in the town, started in 1972 whereby participants have to carry a 27 kg sack of wool up and down the steep Gumstool Hill.
