Luwere means "it is finished!" One word, yet so powerful! It is said, chanted and sang by the Abaluhya people of Kenya, during funerals and burials to show sadness, pain, hopelessness, regret, guilt and sometimes anger at the death of a loved one. I wrote this song in memory of my late brother Haggai Rutivi (1997- 2018).
