Spotting Alpine Ibex while hiking in the Salzkammergut (Austria 🇦🇹🥾)

We’re spending this sunny weekend high up on the mountain massif of Dachstein. Hiking along two idyllic glacial lakes with a phenomenal mountain backdrop, then steadily uphill until after 5 hours, we reach the glacier tongue of Gosaugletscher and the hut we’re going to spend the night at. But before falling into bed, we’re heading out for a little exploration tour and as it happens, encounter the King of the Alps – the alpine ibex.
