There are several motions in limine to address before jury selection on Tuesday and opening statements are expected to start Wednesday. Baldwin primarily wants to exclude evidence of other incidents of his reckless gun handling on set and arguments about his role as a producer, along with certain opinion testimony and arguments from the State. The State primarily wants to exclude a state Safety Board report of its investigation and findings and witnesses, evidence of the related civil suits against Baldwin and producers, and certain witnesses it argues do not have relevant testimony to offer.
This being the first time we are live-streaming the case on my channel, we'll also be getting introduced to Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer, prosecutors Kari Morrissey and Erlinda Johnson, and Alec Baldwin's defense team including Alex Spiro and Luke Nikas. The heat has already risen in pretrial hearings, so we can expect to see aggressive positioning from both sides.
