Madhubani painting of a turtle and fish 🐢🐟🌿



Madhubani is an Indian traditional art practiced in the Mithila region. This traditional art is dated back to the Ramayana period and hence the name 'Mithila art' Madhubani art is generally done with fingers, twigs, sticks , brushes or any tool. Natural dyes are used for madhubani art . Colours like red, yellow, green, blue, pink, black, brown, are commonly used. It is often related to nature , animals, flowers and also Indian mythology.



This particular painting was very easy for me... Fish on a turtle's back was an idea that popped in my dream. Haha now you got it?! 'Artistry dreams' ;) As it was raining outside while I was painting this, I literally felt the chillness of water in this madhubani artwork! Go ahead try this traditional art of India. Have fun!!!!!
