Maria and I were in the mood for a lazy breakfast, so we headed to Dream Land, a local hang out in Tolleaband, Loutolim, Salcette. To get to Dream Land, from Big Foot and Loutolim market, continue past Salvador do Mundo church, taking the straight road going towards Shree Ramnath temple. Slow down at the miraculous cross of Loutolim at Tolleaband, as here you will turn right to Dream Land, which is just a few metres away on the left.

Dream Land is a family-run cafe serving traditional and simple Goan breakfast favourites like sungta (prawn) bhaji, ros (gravy) omelette, beef mince, bhaji pao (white peas gravy with bread), and snacks like rissois, samosas, sandwiches and burgers. They also made sweets like bath and pinagr.

We tried the prawn bhaji, beef mince and ros omelette. The first two items were super yummy. Flavourful, but not spicy, which is ideal at breakfast time. The ros omelette curry was not the traditional xacuti. As it was quite spicy and red, I thought they had made it with rechead masala, but it was also noticeably sweet. Maria tried it and thought they used vindaloo masala. It turned out to be Goan chilli chicken gravy in the ros omelette. I prefer the traditional xacuti flavour. But overall, that was a very nice breakfast indeed.
