Pontiac Historical documented GTO convertible born triple black with air conditioning! It had a body off frame restoration. The restoration was finished in 1990 at a professional shop. The folder of receipts and photos really shows they went through the entire car. It was obviously done right and well cared for since.

EXTERIOR: The body is excellent. You know it was done right for a black car to look this good over 20 years later. NOS front fenders, full quarter panels, no rust or damage. They made the gaps and body lines precise. It's straight down each side. The rubber bumper is in excellent shape and fits great. The paint is still like a mirror. Yes there are a few insignificant nicks or flaws. Rear bumper was rechromed. The grills, bezels and trim is very good. Upgraded 15 inch chrome rally ll wheels with reproduction lug nuts and center caps. Windshield was replaced. Black convertible power top was replaced, has glass window. The weatherstrips were all replaced. It has sport mirrors.

INTERIOR: Overall restored very well. Door panels were replaced, seats reupholstered and carpet replaced. The dash area is great. No cracks in the dash pad, nice instrument panel. It has factory gauge cluster and clock. There is an Alpine stereo with equalizer in the glove box. Deluxe wheel, console and seat belts are all good. Interior lights work.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 400 motor was rebuilt, balanced and bored. It has 10:1 forged pistons, reconditioned rods, reground crank, Edelbrock cam, rebuilt heads. On top is an Edelbrock intake, Holley dual feed carb with electric choke, HEI ignition system and a set of finned valve covers. It also has a set of headers. Features include power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. It's updated with R134 freon. Many components were replaced- wiper motor, alternator, cadmium plated booster, master cylinder etc. Overall clean and proper.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Trunk floor was replaced and you can't tell. It is all clean metal with a spatter paint finish. Under the trunk lid and the jamb are gloss black. The well liner, mat and weatherstrip were replaced. It has a rally ll spare, no jack.

UNDERSIDE: At the time of restoration the body was off the frame and everything under the car was restored. The entire steering and suspension was gone through. It has the F-41 suspension which includes front and rear sway bars and boxed control arms in back. The brakes were rebuilt, it has disc in front. The e-brake assembly is hooked up. The exhaust system is stainless and has correct splitter tips. The fuel system was replaced. The motor has a chrome oil pan. The original Turbo 400 automatic was rebuilt.

This is a car with integrity. Not a perfect trailer queen but a very well restored car. It has proven itself holding up so well. Looks and functions great!
