21 miles around Ullswater, England’s loveliest lake.
We walked this route on 29 April 2022, which was a warm sunny day.
The route starts and finishes at Pooley Bridge and is beautiful and varied and takes in The Cockpit stone circle, Howtown, Glenridding, Aira Force, Gowbarrow Fell and Maiden Castle hill fort.
It’s a long walk, but scenically superb.
