It had been 2 days of hard driving so I was glad to get off the A75 and into the camp site.
Newton Farm Camp Site lies on the coast about 3 miles west of the Gatehouse of Fleet turn off. The site can’t be seen from the main road, you drive down a well made farm road, go over a rise and the bay opens up bellow you.
It’s up to you where you camp, next to the beach, behind a stone wall less than 50Yds from the beach, or park in a corner of the field if you want privacy.
Launch a boat, paddle board, swim, camp on the beach, pond dipping, walk for miles along the beach or out to one of the islands in the bay. I am sure that I missed something.
We settled for a relaxing day and a barbeque.
