On this Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year C), we reflect on the beautiful mission Jesus gives to each of us to be messengers of peace, healing, and hope in a world full of fear and uncertainty.
In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus sends out seventy-two disciples with a clear and urgent message: “The harvest is rich, but the laborers are few.” Just like them, we are called to go out, even when the world feels like wolves around us, and bring God’s peace to others.
Isaiah reminds us that God comforts us like a mother cares for her child. Paul teaches us that real strength is not in power or success, but in the cross of Jesus. These readings all point to the same truth: God is our strength, and we are never alone.
Whether you are a parent, a student, a worker, or a leader, this homily invites you ot deep reflection. Let it encourage you to live your faith with courage and joy. You are sent to announce peace, do well to start today with your words, actions, and love.
