Don't throw away Japanese plums left after using up the syrup made with them! You can easily transform them into delicious Japanese plum preserves.
Ingredients:

• Ume (Japanese Plum) and Honey Drink/Ume Ju...
Makes about 700 mL/1.48 pt (US)/1.23 pt (UK) of Japanese plum preserves.
• All the Japanese plums left after using up the syrup made in "Ume (Japanese Plum) and Honey Drink/Ume Jusu"
• Pure honey......200 g/7.05 oz Note: Recommended to use honey that does not have any strong or distinct flavor. Cheap honey will do.
• Lemon juice......1/2 teaspoon
Yogurt with Japanese plum preserves:
• Yogurt......as needed
• Chocolate sprinkles......as needed
[1 tsp = 5 mL/0.17 US fl oz/0.18 imp fl oz]
Caution: Since these Japanese plum preserves include honey, don't let infants under one year of age eat them.
