Victorians did shopping in dark, disgustingly filthy mysterious streets. That's what traders in Rag Fair were doing for hundreds of years and into the Victorian era. In these hidden alleys the working classes traded all sorts of tattered old clothes. In this video you will be given a history and tour through Rag Fair in the words of an early Victorian commentator.
