As US troops complete their final withdrawal from Afghanistan by September 11, 2021, local Afghans have started sifting through heaps of items left behind by the US military at Bagram airbase. Civilians have been collecting scraps to be sold later, amid worries by some about the loss of livelihood generated from the US military presence there.
