Discover how 20 years of vagus nerve scientific research, pioneered by Kevin J. Tracey, president and CEO of the Feinstein Institutes, led to the opening of Northwell Health’s Center for Bioelectronic Medicine. The center will provide a drug-free alternative for treating chronic conditions caused by inflammation, such as rheumatoid arthritis, and use the most innovative treatments in bioelectronic medicine to treat patients. Rather than relying on the use of drugs (which, in some cases, can be costly and lead to side effects), bioelectronic medicine represents the future of healthcare, using technology to treat disease.
