A look at "The Impossible Bridge", a simple Victorian railway footbridge that linked the Collyhurst and Cheetham Hill areas of Manchester.
Built in the 1890s to cross over the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway's Manchester Victoria to Bury line, the bridge was immortalised on canvas by LS Lowry, the famous Manchester artist who as the song says painted "matchstick men, and matchstick cats and dogs". The line is now disused, but the bridge remains. What is it like today?
