Drum Major Bill Barclay demonstrating his mace flourish (spins and throws) skills, as he leads Towie Pipe Band on the march through Aboyne. This was on Saturday 2nd August 2025 in Deeside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, as Towie led the march of the Pipe Bands to the 2025 Aboyne Highland Games. The tunes are specific to the band and called Crazy Frazie, Eddie and Alison’s 60th anniversary and Pipe Major Marie Chapman.
Having formed in 1867, Aboyne is regarded as "The Traditional Highland Games" and continues to attract thousands of visitors to watch this wonderful display of Scottish culture in one of the most scenic parts of Aberdeenshire.
