Gary Numan's live concert film 'The Touring Principle' was shot on film in 1979 and initially released on VHS cassette tape with digital effects superimposed over the footage. In 2009 a DVD was released which included the concert without digital effects. However there were still thousands of instances of dust and dirt showing up as white speckles throughout the film.
This is the first part of my project to remaster 'The Touring Principle' into a cleaned up HD edition. As its source it uses the 2009 DVD release. It has been upscaled to 1080p HD and each frame has been cleaned of the dirt and dust which was present from the original film print. As the original release had no title graphics, I have created some here. The original audio channels have been switched to match the position of the instruments on screen (guitar on the right hand side).
This is an ongoing labour of love and I'll be uploading each song as I clean it up. I am not monitising these videos, they are just made as one fan to other fans.
