Supriya Pathak, Neena Kulkarni & Renuka Shahane the timeless Bollywood Icons at Filmfare Roundtable

Actors Supriya Pathak, Neena Kulkarni & Renuka Shahane have a diverse filmography across television, films and also OTT shows. These women have time and again proved that there's no shelf life for actresses in Bollywood and that following one's heart is the key to success.
The actors joined Filmfare's Editor-In-Chief Jitesh Pillai for a candid conversation and opened up about their love for facing the camera, working in the ever evolving television industry, making important decisions while paving their way as actors & thespians in field and more.

Supriya Pathak talks about her films Bazaar, Mirch Masala & Kalyug which gave her the opportunity to work with directors like Shyam Benegal & Ketan Mehta. She shares stories about her mother Dina Pathak and how she observed an actor's spark in Supriya. While she also laughs about an incident, when her husband, actor Pankaj Kapur got upset with her while shooting together for a film which pushed the producer to give him a separate room.

Neena Kulkarni, goes back in time and recalls how acting came naturally to her when she was still a teenager and began early, with Marathi plays and was a part of the Chhabil Das theatre movement. She talks about her experience of working in films alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan and gets candid while sharing an anecdote about actor Smita Patil. She fondly recalls husband, the late actor Dilip Kulkarni and shares how both worked together in theatre, his passion for acting and how she took his advice & suggestions seriously when it came to acting. It was after her husband's demise that she chose to switch to doing daily soaps, which helped her sustain herself financially but was also draining.

Renuka Shahane, speaks about her mother, film critic Shanta Ghokhale, her bond with her husband, actor Ashutosh Rana and how she spent a decade in the television industry which had nearly exhausted her. She also talks about her work as a director and how she is highly critical of her own work. Renuka reveals how she was to continue with her PhD in Psychology but it was Surabhi the show on Doordarshan which landed as a great opportunity and changed her career's trajectory completely.
