Trailer Video - The Legendary Idu Sharif. Punjabi Folk Singer and Sarangi Maestro

This is a short Trailer video showing footage from a private concert held in Dec 1990 by the late legendary Punjabi Dhadi Folk Singer and Sarangi Maestro, Mr Idu Sharif. This was a private performance with his friends, over 33 years ago which was recorded on VHS and has been recently salvaged. Your likes, comments + subscriptions are greatly appreciated.

The Sarangi is a special instrument from a time in the past, being unique in that it has the ability to copy the inflection of the human voice. Idu Sharif's extraordinary folk singing talent with his powerful vocals are golden chapter in modern era of the Dhadi tradition. The video depicts a joyous private get together belonging to a time long since gone. This would have just been the story of an old generation had it not been captured on film.Our heartfelt thanks will forever go to dearest GSD for ensuring that this footage was salvaged and shared with the world. A special thanks and acknowledgement to the artists that created the beautiful images and paintings depicting old Indian village life that we have used in the video.
