I’ve tasted many a great dosae, so to be honest, I am not quite easily blown away by newer versions that I taste. But this modest eatery in Hassan came as an amazing surprise. Established over 30 years ago, Sri Gajanana Refreshments roasts dosae with generous lashings of benne and tuppa, the showstopper here a light and fluffy set dosa accompanied with a unique chutney-sauteed onion and molten butter lashing. Eat one of these, and it’s the sort that will have you contemplating the next opportunity to drive 190 kilometres from bengaluru to Hassan to taste more.
If you love your dosas, this place is a definite must-add to your list. I hope you enjoy this one. Happy eating!
