Vienna’s New Year’s Eve Trail is one of the largest New Year’s Eve celebrations in Europe. On New Year’s Eve, people party and dance across Vienna, especially on the New Year’s Eve Trail in Vienna City Centre.
On December 31, Vienna turns into one big street party: For more than 30 years, it has been one of the main attractions of the Austrian Federal capital. Around 700,000 visitors from Austria and abroad celebrated the New Year from 2 pm until2 am. Admission was free.
Guests could choose from a diverse programme, which was displayed at various show stages set up in different locations throughout the city.
Caterers at numerous stalls offered hot punch and a variety of culinary delights to round up the celebrations.
