Three Epic Summer Roadtrips

Firstly we all need a break from the madness so let's start with maps and Three ideas for Great Summer Roadtrips.

Overall The Bob Davis Podcasts has been on the road for more than a few years all over the lower 48. So I’ve got a few travel hacks.

Therefore I have plenty of ideas about how to travel the backroads...and roadtrip vacation destinations.

Certainly these three roadtrips aren't the final word...everyone has their favorites. But these are some pretty epic travel destinations.

For me, riding across the Northern Tier of the United States straight to the West Coast, combing the Outer Banks from Florida to North Carolina, or the Gulf Coast from Tallahassee to Galveston and Corpus Christie make these some of the best summer road trips.

These are epic backroad summer trips whether you’re doing the family vacation thing or hitting the road solo.

There's lots of history in all three of these trips too.

And if you take the back roads...well it doesn't get much better.

There's nothing like an Epic Summer Roadtrip. Here's three ideas to get that done!

It's true that for many people who grew up in the 70's and 80's people took roadtrips because they were less expensive than flying.

Furthermore in those days if you had to visit a relative or go to a job interview in another state people often piled all the kids into the station wagon and made a roadtrip out of the affair.

It taught us a lot about the geography of this country and the differences in the many states. Some of those differences still exist.

In fact I am still learning every time I head out onto the open road. And I talk about it in these videos and my audio podcasts.

Finally life can be pretty pressurized these days. Sometimes the job doesn't feel like it means anything. And it can often be difficult to deal with day to day issues regarding the prices for everything...not being able to get service on some issue...or whatever challenge we're dealing with.

Taking chances like sailing across the sea (many have) or taking long Road Trips can sometimes make a huge difference in life for everyone in the family.

So, whether it's the national parks, the Red Neck Riviera, or the Outer Banks, an Epic Summer Roadtrip is a great way to experience the country and wide open spaces. Sometimes you need travel hacks, sometimes you don't. There's plenty of other budget summer roadtrips you can take.
