From being a girl who used to collect balls during her sister’s table tennis match to an International table tennis player, Saundarya Pathak’s story will surely inspire us a lot.
The Little Wonder, with her sheer determination and perseverance, which defeated many big players of the game, shared her success secret.
Saundarya Pathak, of 12th grade, DPS, Noida, is a 16 year old Table Tennis prodigy who has won various District, State & National tournaments. Among others, she has bagged IIEVEN Sports 2015 India Junior & Cadet Open ITTF World Junior Circuit, Indore- Silver medal; CBSE Nationals 2014-15, Winner Doubles ( U-16); Indian Junior & Cadet Open 2014,Goa- Bronze Medal in Cadet Girls; CBSE Nationals 2014-15, Indore- Winner team (U-16 singles & doubles); 76th Cadet & Sub Junior National & Inter State Table Tennis Championships 2014, Andhra Pradesh- Bronze in Sub Junior doubles National medal; Women's champion of UP of 2014.
She is a defensive player, expert at blocking the ball. She has been awarded with the title of "The Great Wall of China" by fellow mates as a result of this expertise. She believes that you cannot learn over one night, you have to keep playing regularly to achieve the goal and that it is best to learn under the guidance of an experienced teacher for best results.
