Kungsleden Northbound, part 3: Kvikkjokk - Saltoluokta

After 2 years we picked up the Kungsleden again. In late August / early September we finished our Kungsleden after another two weeks of hiking. This time we did about 167 km (104 miles) starting from Kvikkjokk. This is part 3, the first week, which got us to Saltoluokta.

In this section II of Kungsleden we encounter some lake crossings where you have to take a boat. Every stage ends at a nice mountain cabin. We slept two times in our tent, once near a cabin and once in the wild in Sarek. We had planned for more nights in our tent, but the weather wasn’t that good and we were lucky to be able to dry stuff in the cabins.

Although we apparently only film when the weather is good, we also blog. There you'll find our unedited weather experiences and read about things not shown in the film, such as the fact that our food parcels didn't arrive in Saltoluokta, despite being sent weeks in advance.
