在乘坐了粉紅教主號KMB ATENU1401 VK8296到達富亨後,熟悉的富豪B10TL聲便吸引我拍攝下條路線,九巴71B。
九巴71B循環來往富亨和大埔中心,為富亨邨居民提供接駁到大埔中心轉乘其他巴士路線的服務。定價$2.2比起港鐵K線和港島電車還要便宜,除了是因路程甚短只得2.3公里外,此線主力吸引乘客選用巴士服務而非乘71A到大埔墟站轉乘地鐵。雖然每百米1毫的收費平均而言較為昂貴,但始終巴士公司不是開善堂,開車的固定成本還是需要考慮的。
乘坐的是AVW24 LL3578,長居港島的我很久也沒有坐B10TL,故對用車甚為滿意。然而囿於車程甚短只用13分鐘便跑完一圈,實在未能試出車輛性能,只能當凉一凉冷氣坐一坐厚凳便要下車。同時行程間亦有落一場過雲雨,此片可能又要創低收視了。
雖然路線本來就以單層雞ASC作掛牌,但感覺在繁忙時間甚至非繁下客量算是足以做用雙層清客。平有平做貴有貴做,但始終乘客的坐感和車長的駕駛體驗才是重要吧,單層滿載畫面雖靚,但真係不了。
After riding the Anson Lo bus KMB VK8296 to Tai Po, a familiar, loud engine sound of a Volvo B10TL caught my attraction. It was KMB AVW24 LL3578 on 71B, and we had enough time take a ride, so decided to film this short circular route asap.
KMB 71B runs between Tai Po(Fu Heng) and Tai Po Central, providing an essential service for residents in Fu Heng to transit them to Tai Po Central Bus Terminus interchanging other bus routes. The fare is HKD 2.2 to attract residents to ride buses instead of mtr in Tai Po Market, and sounds too cheap to operate, however, with consideration of the travel distance 2.3km, it approximately charges 10cents for each 100meters, which is somehow expensive in this perspective. Having said so, the fixed cost for operating a route has also a concern, so I would say $2.2 is fine and nice to everyone.
This Volvo Wright bus AVW24 has an acceptable performance during the journey, though I could not taste much as this 13-minute journey was a bit short. There was also a small rain occurred, all I knew was the air conditioning and the seat were good. Low views again. Sigh.
Although this route is scheduled with two 12M single deck Scania, I feel it is insufficient to load all passengers and transit them to the destinations. Double-decker buses may need a higher operating cost, but aren't passengers' comfort and drivers' driving feelings the major concern of all? Riding a single-deck Scania on this route may sound interesting, but I don't think I could enjoy the ride.
