In this video, we have discussed preparation and properties of orthoboric acid. First of all, preparation of orthoboric acid is discussed. Orthoboric acid is white crystalline solid which is precipitated by treating a concentrated solution of borax with any acid. Then its properties have been discussed. In solid state, its units are H-bonded into 2-D sheets with almost hexagonal symmetry. It is a weak monobasic acid.
