GBO2 Zeta Gundam: Did the buffs make it god tier?!

This video contains two matches I had with the recently buffed LV1 and LV3 Zeta Gundam on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 600-700 cost general with great mobility, amazing stun accumulation, a fast cooldown instant stun, long melee reach, high melee damage and a versatile transformed mode. Its only real weakness is that the midrange output isn't as good as something like ReZEL or Gabthley. Zeta finally got another buff after the last one which did not go far enough. It got a wide range of changes such as better scaling for higher levels, better arm grenade accumulation, transform optimizer skill, better beam spear swap time/cooldown and better beam rifle swap time/cooldown. The buffs basically fixed all of my problems with it before so I can rate it very highly. I hope that you enjoy watching!

Its primary weapon is a beam rifle with 2000 power, 6 ammo, 5 seconds cooldown, 12 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 450m range and 40% stagger value. This has pretty amazing stats all around and gives you an edge in close quarters due to the fast cooldown time. You can easily combo this into a beam spear downswing to confirm knockdowns.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 2300 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and 60% combo modifier. This has average power and decent combo modifier alongside an easy to use moveset. It won't do much damage on its own but you can combo into or from a beam spear downswing to get really high damage.
Its first sub weapon is an arm grenade launcher with 500 power, 4 ammo, 8 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 250m range and 50% stagger value. The average arm grenade launcher has 10 seconds reload and 35% stagger value, so this one on the Zeta is incredibly powerful in comparison. Stopping Maneuver Armor is trivial and it isn't difficult to hit two grenades on regular suits either. You can combo into the beam rifle to stun twice before melee if you want.
Its second sub weapon is a long beam saber with 2400 power, 3.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time, 70% combo modifier and 95%x2 downswing modifier. This has pretty insane length alongside a fast downswing to abuse it with. The reach means that you can start combos on suits from much further away than the typical melee general can. It gets +150 power per level, so it retains high damage even for 700 cost.
While transformed it has access to a beam gun with 400 power, 15% heat, 247 RPM, 10 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 350m range, 1647 DPS and 25% stagger value. This can boost and fire so it is very easy to stun suits on the approach with the high stagger value. You can link with this straight into MS mode melee thanks to you instantly swapping to your beam rifle upon detransforming.

The LV1 Zeta Gundam has 130 (200) walk speed, 215 (240) boost speed, 80 thrust and 69 turning speed. The MS mode mobility is very solid but it gains even higher mobility thanks to the option of transforming. The mobility is made even better thanks to 220 boost speed at 650 cost, 225 at 700 cost alongside 75 turning speed starting at 650 cost. It has LV2 Forced Injector and Flight Control at 600 cost, but these are upgraded to LV3 at 650 cost. It is one of the fastest suits available for 650-700 cost as a result. It also gets LV1 Transformed Optimizer which reduces thrust usage while transformed.
It also has 18500 HP and 22 in every resist. This level of bulk is pretty average so there isn't much to say about it. It isn't squishy but it isn't that durable either. It has LV1 Emergency Evasion for defensive skills.
It has access to a special skill called LV1 Biosensor once it drops to 30% HP. This boosts walking/boosting speed by +5, +15 to every resistance, +5 ranged modifier, +30 melee modifier, -20% thrust consumption, +15 turning speed and also adds LV2 Emergency Evasion. While the Biosensor is active it also gets an upgraded ram attack, with it being boosted from 2000 to 4000 power if you boost for about a second. It also takes -50% damage while using this special ramming skill.

Overall I think that these buffs are amazing. The Zeta is superior to the ReZEL in regards to melee fighting now, which was a bit silly that it wasn't before. The stun accumulation is some of the best available at 600 cost, while the melee ability is made much better thanks to the long beam saber buffs. Transitioning from transformed shooting to MS mode melee has always been a strong feature of the Zeta, but the reduced thrust consumption while transformed now makes this much more practical. I don't think the Zeta is as good as the overpowered Atlas Gundam currently rampaging through 600 cost, but I think that it is one of the best 600 cost generals now if you don't count the Atlas. I can now highly recommend the Zeta for experienced players. Thanks for watching!
