Last summer I rode with @Dialed1 at Split Rock Wilds on my new Transition Spire. What started as an awesome day quickly took a turn for the worse as I had one of my scariest crashes ever on Diggendirt. Fortunately I rode away without serious injury. I had passed by that feature several times when riding alone, but felt 100% confident riding into it this day. I'm not sure what exactly caused me to go over the bars and wreck so hard, probably a combination of poor conditions, bike setup, and riding technique. I've talked with several riders at Spirit Mountain and Piedmont who have cleared this feature and they are always shocked that I wrecked that badly on a feature they said they would have expected me to clear after riding together. Either way, I am in no rush to try this feature again anytime soon, but I'm glad we have the option of pushing our limits on some of the gnarliest terrain in the Midwest up in the Sawtooth Mountains on the North Shore.
