An iconic swim race has taken place on Victoria’s south coast today, with the Pier to Pub underway at Lorne Surf Life Saving Club.
“We’ve had an amazing day down here,” Lorne Pier to Pub Sponsorship and Marketing Head Mike Napolitano told Sky News Australia.
“Our reigning champions, Hayden Cotter and Lani Pallister have both come home to win the women’s and men’s events.
“Some really great times – Hayden did it in 12 minutes and 20 seconds, and Lani came through in about 13:09.
“Some really great swimming down here, and really great to see all of our competitors, about 5,000 in the water today.”
