I've played this squad before, but I liked it a lot (though I admit I didn't make much use of the insanity mechanic last time), and apparently a weapon has been edited -- which is as good an excuse as any to play it again! I'm using Vextra, mission packs from kartoFlane, Machin and tosx, as well as tosx's Watchtower Security and Far Line Charters in place of Pinnacle and Detritus, and Lemonymous's Meridia (complete with its own array of plant Vek) in place of RST; I'm also using tosx's Cauldron Pilots (maybe I'll see some of them this time around!), and Metalocif's Evolving Vek and Omega Vek modifiers (which don't make the game that much harder according to Meta).
I won't lie, it always feels a little awkward ending up with more cores than I can actually use because I'm only taking passive and passive-ish secondary weapons. Anyway...yes, I clearly should have played on Hard. This was not a fair fight.
