In this video, we finalize the cab mounting process on our 1957 Chevy hay truck. We correct a crucial detail by ensuring the rear cab mounts are level on the concrete floor, shimming the cab to perfection before final welding. After pulling the cab off one last time, we finish welding the rear mounts and adjust the height of the front outrigger mounts to be perfectly level.
This finalizes the cab mounting, allowing us to move on to the front clip. We'll be preparing to install the radiator core support, building the necessary front frame extensions, and getting the fenders mounted for final body alignment. This is the last step before the focus shifts entirely to dialing in the body lines of this challenging project.
