Heading down to Lover's Leap Rock along the AT...
Solid hike just outside of Hot Springs, NC. Reward yourself with a beers and tacos at Big Pillow Brewing afterwards. 4-5 miles long, ~1,000 ft elevation guide. Steady climb along Pump Gap Trail up to AT. To complete the loop, you'll turn right (heading west) on the AT, which follows a ridge before descending down to the starting point. Last mile offers stunning views of the French Broad River. Be sure to stop at "Lover's Leap" rock. The view there is breathtaking.
