These are lightfast results for the 36 set of Derwent Inktense pencils. On the left hand side of each column is a set of both dry pigment (bottom) and pigment that has been activated with water (top) for each color in the set. The left had side of each column has been covered with some craft board. To the right of these are a dry pigment and wet pigment that have been exposed to light. I've tried to keep the intensity as close as possible when I started the tests. The test board has been placed in my homes brightest room for approximately 2 years now.
There is some fading with the colors, but the ones that have been activated by water are still quite bright and intense. So far I am pretty happy with the results and feel fairly confident that if you activated the pigment with water and made some effort to protect the drawing or painting (UV glass or a protective spray), then your artwork would hold up for a good number of years.
