I recently received this new Nick Johnston Traditional from Schecter, and I'm totally blown away by it. It has very quickly become one of my favorite guitars to play, so I thought I'd give some of my thoughts on it, and record a clip of one of my favorite songs of all time while I'm at it, Sails of Charon, by Scorpions, from their album “Taken By Force”. Uli Roth is one of my biggest and earliest influences as a guitarist!
Guitar tones are from the Master Effects Marauder pedal, which is designed to sound like the old "teal stripe" Peavey Bandit / Supreme 160 amps from the early '90's. I had an old Supreme 160 as a kid, and it was an amazing amp! They totally destroyed for high-gain metal tones, but also did lower gain crunch tones very well too! This pedal nails the sound of those amps perfectly.
