Erdington Abbey was completed in 1850 and gained it's first ring of bells in 1877, which were cast by William Blews of Birmingham. This Blews ring were then recast in 1950 by Taylors and hung with all new fittings in the slender steeple of the Abbey church.
There is a lot of tower movement and this affects the go of the bells (which are hung 3 above 5), and the internal acoustics are uneven and indistinct. However, theyre a quality ring of bells and are magnificent outside. Mr Moulder likes the bells so much that he indicates that he would like to ring them twice. Later on in the touch he also began to rattle his hole quite a bit. Most offputting.
