5. Thailand's traditional lines and points formulas or treatment protocols are used in clinics in most of Thailand's Hospitals. We, foreigners, when visiting Thailand, do not get to meet Practitioners that were trained in medical Thai massage. They are not interested in offering massage for relaxation and pleasure at street or beach shops but focus on the treatment of orthopedic disorders. Perhaps in the future, they will find ways to offer their service in tourist areas as well.
6. In my books, videos, and live courses, I teach the medical knowledge of traditional Thai massage. In Thailand, they call their traditional GENERAL massage: Nuat-Bo-Rarn (ancient massage). To the MEDICAL aspect of their traditional massage, they call: Nuat-Rak-Sa (massage to take care), or Nuat-Kod-Jut (massage pressing points). Foreigners in Thailand can easily learn GENERAL massage (Nuat-Bo-Rarn) which is very good as a preventive medicine but can not as easily, find serious training in Medical Thai massage. In my books, Videos, and live courses I try to make this medical knowledge more accessible.
