This vintage tool restoration centres around the Eclipse Nº12 Pad Saw Handle made in England in the 1950's. The handle had seen far better days the process of cleaning started with a trip to the blasting cabinet where the saw handle was cleaned using bi carbonate of soda at a low pressure of 25psi to avoid damaging the alloy. The body was the burnished using a small Dremel type multi tool and wire brush. The blade retaining screw was blued using the blowtorch and some canola oil and the thumbscrew was plated using a Nickel solution.
