OCTOPATH: The Game that Changed my Life

I had a different ending planned for this video, but realized the original ending wasn't very fitting for the message I was trying to share. So I put it here instead (lol).

For those of you who made it this far, thank you so much for taking the time to watch this. I hope I did my job right and you found this sufficiently funny and entertaining while also tackling the important subjects I wanted to. I hope this is a good case of video games being a force for good. Not every game is a violent, time consuming addiction. It's an art, and like any form of art it has the ability to transform and change lives. Or at least that’s what I think.

This video is a year in the making (a little over actually), I’ve never spent so long on anything in my life. But I wanted so badly to get this right. I thought I could edit this video before the release of Octopath Traveler II… but that didn’t happen. In the end I felt I couldn’t afford to get something so precious to me wrong. For 5 months I struggled with the identity of this video. Was it a summary? An in depth analysis? My game play and experience playing? Well… It kind of became all of it. And the next 8 months I would learn new editing skills and try my best to make this video the vision I had in my head. I gave it the time it needed to breathe… and I’m so glad I did.

If you are interested in more content like this, I will be playing Octopath Traveler II in coming weeks. There is NO WAY I am doing another video like this (at least not for a LONG while) but I am planning to upload my shortened play sessions as episodes on the channel.
