Railfanning Seattle, WA at Holgate Street - 3/6/12

Amtrak Cascades, Amtrak Coast Starlight, Sounder Train, BNSF, Union Pacific, and Ex-Burlington Northern engines are all featured in this video from Seattle, Washington. This is the majority of the trains I filmed during my vacation up here. I filmed at Holgate St, which is a "horn friendly" grade crossing!! No Quiet Zone nonsense! The line was real busy in the few hours I was here. This was filmed on Tuesday, March 6th 2012. Seattle has some awesome train action!! I want to go back again soon!

Train #1...Sounder Train #1512 crosses the intersection just before 9:00am.

Train #2...A Union Pacific train rounds the curve heading towards downtown Seattle. Decent horn on the lead unit.

Train #3...BNSF GEVO #7262 leads a manifest train north.

Train #4...Amtrak Coast Starlight #11 passes through at 9:47am. P42DC #90 and P42DC #41 power the train with a deadheading Parlour Car on the rear.

Train #5...NPCU #90340 leads Amtrak Cascades #513 past Holgate St. P42 #203 powers the set. This was my first time catching an Amtrak Cascades train!

Train #6...Two Burlington Northern painted engines cross the street.

Train #7...Running about 40 minutes late, Amtrak Cascades #500 passes by. P42DC #97 leads with an okay sounding 3rd generation K5LA. NPCU #90278 brings up the rear.

Train #8...After waiting for the Amtrak train to pass, a BNSF freight manifest powers up and heads north. Excellent K3LA horn on #719!!
