President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has cautioned Ugandans against religious divisions, calling such practices "poison" that only bring discord. He highlighted that religious-based divisions led Uganda into over 16 years of instability and chaos in the past.
The President, who is in Kisoro to support Rose Kabagyenyi in the ongoing Woman Member of Parliament by-election, also promised to investigate claims of vote-rigging in the recent NRM primaries, with a commitment to hold those responsible accountable.
