We're Stuck!!! Windlass Troubles in Tahiti 😝

After a heart-pounding escape through the shallow and sketchy South Pass of Fakarava, we finally set sail for Tahiti — and not a moment too soon. Two of our friends are flying in to meet us, but of course, boat life has other plans…

Back in Fakarava, our anchor chain wrapped around a coral head and yanked hard on our windlass — the crucial tool that brings our anchor and chain back on board. Now it’s barely working. With the clock ticking and guests on the way, Connor dives into days of problem-solving and greasy repairs, trying everything to get it working again.

As if things weren’t stressful enough, the wind picks up while we’re mid-repair, forcing us to quickly reassemble the half-broken windlass and re-anchor before we drift into a nearby catamaran. It's tense, chaotic, and classic life at sea.

But after days of effort, Connor not only fixes the windlass — he makes it better than it was before. 💪
