This is the fourth part of my journey building a beautiful Ilur cruising dinghy. The boat is designed by Francois Vivier, and I am building from the kit version. the plywood parts are cut by CNC computer cutting. https://www.vivierboats.com/
I'm building in the South Island of Aotearoa, New Zealand, close to the southern lakes and the Fiordland National Park.
I had some trepidation about turning the hull over, and was pleased we had a good number of fit people to do the job. All went well. The boat suddenly seemed to be so much larger once she was the right way up! Afterwards we rewarded ourselves with beers, cups of tea and Catherine's home made biscuits.
