Welcome to my channel.
This channel is mostly about my little boat Tilly. She is an Ilur cruising dinghy.
I was brought up on the south coast of the UK and spent my youth sailing on the Solent and cross channel racing, mostly with my Dad. My first proper job was as a sail maker, which gave me the opportunity to sail on all sorts of wonderful boats. Moving to Aotearoa, New Zealand in 1995 I spent a large part of my life working as a skipper in the tourist industry. Along the way I've also worked as a potter, shoemaker, art teacher, beekeeper, bike mechanic and cycling tour guide. As well as sailing Tilly, I now keep busy making jewellery in my tiny workshop.
I live on the edge of the Fiordland National Park, with my wife, Catherine and dog Max. I really enjoy making these little videos. As well as boaty videos, some are of other things, and I'm sure there will be more as time goes on.
