Our spring weather has been quite extreme this time around. It's normally a time when we get rain and storms, but nothing like we've had over the last month or so. We've had rain and more rain almost every day, snow down to low levels and really cold strong winds day after day. So there really has not been opportunity to get out on the water until this one day. The wind was pretty light, but even so it was just so great to get out afloat.

While I was out I was passed by the beautiful Faith. Built in 1935 on the Clyde in Scotland, she now works here on lake Te Anau taking passengers for lake cruises. My last job before I stopped work to build Tilly was as skipper on Faith for a couple of seasons.
