Rusching, or ruffles, are a fun addition to many Geman dirndls. They add a fun touch and can be further embellished with beads, sequins, pearls or whatever you desire.
Because making a rusching takes patience, I recommend you pick a time when you aren't rushed to get your dress completed. This video only touches the surface on rusching! There are many beautiful variations that look like lovely flowers, or hearts.
